No turning back now

This one friend of mine is in some deep shit.
1. He's in jail.
2. He's in jail because he was speeding on a stolen motorcycle.
3. His mother is a laywer and she is so pissed at him that she won't get him out.
4.5.6.7.8...
9. He is a pretty boy Kappa, which has turned him into a womanizer.
But the number one reason why he is in some deep shit is because
10. He gave his main girlfriend the passcodes to his voicemail, email and facebook.

Ok let me break down that last sentence. He gave his main girlfriend the passcodes to his voicemail, email and facebook. Isn't that against the player handbook? If you have a main girl that means you have other girls... so why? The passcode to your voicemail... the voicemail that all the girls are leaving messages on because they heard you were in jail. The passcode to your facebook... the place where you do ALL of your dirt. I mean come on, how stupid can one man be?

His excuse was that he didn't have anything to hide from her and he wanted her to find out whatever she thought she needed to find out in order for them to make it work. Lucky for him that he is in jail and she is on a pity porch so she doesn't have the heart to dump him but boy does he have a tounge lashing coming to him when he gets out.

The killer is, they have only been dating for three months and have broken up three times in those three months. When do you think it is ok to turn in your player card? When and how should you break the news to your girl/guy that you have been cheating but you're in jail now and need someone to depend on a changed man/woman now? When do you realize that she/he is the one for you and you're ready to walk the straight and narrow... the one where there is no turning back?

I'm always amazed at the choices some college graduates make, epsecially those who are members of fraternal organizations...

In my opinion, college needs to be deconstructed and resurrected. It seems like with all of the opportunities for us to read all kinds of fancy literature, flaunt an acquired complex lexicon, and wear embroidered status across our chest...there should be just as many, if not more opportunities to receive adequate and culturally relevant tutelage pertaining to our personal growth and development?

By no means am I passing judgement on Kappa man (well, maybe just a little), because I too have made some pretty senseless mistakes post graduation...

...So I guesss, I'm pleading for something that I too wish I'd had access to during my college years: a system of education that embraces a holistic approach to learning. This way we will become better able to make decisions that do not involve stolen motorcycles and hacked facebook accounts.

I honestly do not believe there is a time limit on 'your heart.' He or she could have easily felt a certain way long before they entered into the current relationship. It's kinda bizarre that he would give her information that could screw him...but I guess that I can see where he was coming from.


TOO funny @ Lucky for him that he is in jail and she is on a pity porch so she doesn't have the heart to dump him but boy does he have a tounge lashing coming to him when he gets out.

My preteen daughter called me bruh the other day. Lets let that sit there for a minute.  Okay so scene: She was fussing via text at me about having phone screen time on the weekend. Tunnel Vision

Last week a fellow journalist died in a car accident. A lot of people at my job knew him as a kid from SIUC who died in that terrible accident the other day but I actually knew that kid, Ryan Rendleman. I went to school with him, I worked with him at the school newspaper and most times I talked about him on the phone with my girlfriend because that Rendleman was truly a trip.  His passing made me realize how quickly our lives can be taken away from us and how I really haven't done much to contribute to society, or to my obituary if I were to die today.  When I hear about someone my age or younger being pregnant, getting married or doing something that I would consider a grown up act, I gawk at how advanced they are, in a negative way, when I should really be getting just like them because life is so short!  I am in my early 20's, just graduated from college, have never lived out of Illinois, have never smoked, don't have any tattoos, interesting piercings or children.  This
