Progression

Man you guys, my daughter is getting so big. It's unreal. I mean I knew it would happen but how does it happen so fast. She is so alert, so busy, so greedy. I only wish my family could be around every day to see her evolving into this little lady. I said I would never live in Chicago again but my daughter not being around my family is really tearing me up. There shall be changes made real soon. Stay tuned.

Okay I'm going to make a major generalization about people and their preferences and say "Light Skin people are more likely to be attracted to Dark skin people" and "'Dark skin people are more likely to be attracted to Light Skin people." I am what I like to call light brown, some like to call me caramel. Tunnel Vision

Last week a fellow journalist died in a car accident. A lot of people at my job knew him as a kid from SIUC who died in that terrible accident the other day but I actually knew that kid, Ryan Rendleman. I went to school with him, I worked with him at the school newspaper and most times I talked about him on the phone with my girlfriend because that Rendleman was truly a trip.  His passing made me realize how quickly our lives can be taken away from us and how I really haven't done much to contribute to society, or to my obituary if I were to die today.  When I hear about someone my age or younger being pregnant, getting married or doing something that I would consider a grown up act, I gawk at how advanced they are, in a negative way, when I should really be getting just like them because life is so short!  I am in my early 20's, just graduated from college, have never lived out of Illinois, have never smoked, don't have any tattoos, interesting piercings or children.  This...

A side of Baby Mama, hold the drama

Just a few years ago, I would cringe at the term "baby mama," Today, I embrace it. It is what it is and I am who I am.  You have to live your life and roll with the punches. I never thought I'd be a baby mama. I'm more of the wife, fiance, girlfriend type. Or so I thought. Life is just not the fairy tale you dream it to be when you are eight years old in your big cousin's tiara and your mother's high heels. I wish I could go back.
